Holidays

I hate holidays. I’d much rather be working. Hanging around in the sun, driving to different beaches to sop up the same sun and having one’s sandalled feet burned by the bloody sun is not my idea of a good time. So while my wife is dehydrating herself on a towel I do one thing I holiday that I don’t usually do and tell myself I should do more of: watch the world go by and draw it. Here’s some;

    Yes Harry I understand. On holiday in Budapest last week I had the same problem but was happy to surf to some exciting renaissance pictures. Raphael is maybe not your favorite but I was really taken away with the Madonna from the museum collection.Where have we gone with all that innovation of the last fifty years? Certainly not to heaven.

      I’m really hoping on going on holiday sometime this year or next, to Ibiza again, not to get trashed and other things I once did..
      but to capture the pre night/club or-post rave/party at cafe mambo and the strip and hidden parts of the islands chill spots, to paint the atmosphere of people chilling listening to chilled out blissed house music Some still dancing while others fighting to stay up…
      I must go this or next year as part of a series of rave pictures i have in idea from memory’s and life in all medium from pencil, ink, oil, or spray paint.
      great place with many great models, i’ll leave it to my imagination to then..

      love these great sketches Harry..
